SPECIAL OF THE DAY



[TUESDAY] Murgir (Chicken) Roast + Pulao
In Bangladesh, no celebration is complete without chicken roast. Amma’s version uses over 30 ingredients — a leg quarter bathed in ghee, nuts, and spices until tender and golden, with a sauce that’s truly out of this world. Served with pulao (Basmati rice with ghee, cardamon, and cinnamon). Contains nuts. Spice levels cannot be adjusted.

[WEDNESDAY] Ilish + Begun Aloo (Hilsa Fish with Eggplant + Potato)
Ilish (Hilsa) is the national fish of Bangladesh, a delicacy treasured for celebrations and family feasts. This special features two tender pieces of Hilsa simmered with eggplant, potatoes, tomatoes, and chilies in a light, aromatic sauce. It’s the only time we serve Hilsa curry in a smaller 2-piece portion — a rare treat for true Hilsa lovers. Served with complimentary white rice. Please be cautious of Hilsa's many bones. A classic Bengali breakfast feast, portioned for one. Includes six puffed, fried flatbreads (luchi), 8 oz goat curry, 8 oz boot-er daal (chickpea lentils), and 8 oz shujir halwa — semolina slow-cooked with ghee, sugar, cardamom, cinnamon, and raisins. If you saw Korai Kitchen on First We Feast’s show Heat Eaters, you know Amma’s legendary spicy Naga Morich aloo bhortha — mashed potatoes infused with the fiery Bangladeshi Naga chili.
